In March Richmond Primary had a swimming carnival sports day. There were around eight different races including the relay . They included non- competitive one length, backstroke and freestyle. Then the competitive two length freestyle and backstroke. For each person who came first there was a final. All who won got to go to the Nayland Pool to compete in the inter-schools. The last race of the day was the syndicate relay.
About three weeks later the winners went off to interschools at Nayland. The races were as following 8 and under girls freestyle, backstroke and breastroke. Then 9 year old girls and so on. Last came the final race which was the school vs school relay. Our team came 4th. It was an awesome day and we all enjoyed the sports.
