Grandparent Writing

Here are some of the best grandparent peices of writing. Hope you enjoy.

My Pop normally drives a tractor all day because he works on a farm but doesn’t live there. He is 60 years old and also I was supposed to be born on his birthday but I came into this world a day early. Mum says I was his early birthday present and Pop normally says I was the best present he ever received.

On his days off he normally goes to the TAB to bet on a horse and when his race is on he swears at the TV to try and motivate it.

He has glasses that are so dark you can’t even see his eyes. Pop also has pale brown skin because he has a bit of Maori in him. He has wrinkles all over him like little brown mountains.

The unique thing about Pop is that his second cousin is Todd Blackadder, the Crusaders’ coach. But no matter what I do he will always support me.

My Grandmother, who I call Gran, has thick, bright white hair that makes her very easy to find no matter how many people are around her. (This would have been helpful one time when I was four and her hair was still a brownish-red colour. I was four years old and we had just done a bike ride for something, and we were standing in a large crowd, when her name got drawn out of a large glass bowl and somebody announced she had just won a bike! She pushed through the crowd, completely forgetting me in her excitement – she can get very excited! I tried to follow her but I was so small I couldn’t get through!)

She is rather tall, and usually wears tights and long tops, sometimes with a scarf.

When she is at home, she often wears reading glasses, which have a rope on them so if she is not using them they hang around her neck.

Gran is very kind, and is an extremely positive person, always describing everything with the words lovely, beautiful or nice.

My Grandad is always having knee operations! He’s good now but he went a bit hyper after the operation. When my Dad went down he got told to throw the possum out the window but he was on the 7th Storey at the hospital.

He lives in Greymouth with my Dad’s Aunty. They walk around with a walking stick. My Dad’s aunty lives on the Greymouth hill, you can look out the window and see the Greymouth bar (That’s wicked) and next door is a playground.

My Grandad has grey hair like a steel pole.

My Grandad is a big guy. He is kind hearted and he gives you lollies as soon as you walk in the door. Grandad is all ways dressed nicely.

My Grandma is 62 years old. She has lots of wrinkles. She is a really cool grandparent.

Eight weeks ago she had a bit of a memory loss. Grandma forgot that she can't afford to go to the USA.

She wears glasses and works on a computer at home. Grandma saw the TV ads and wanted a lot of the stuff even though she couldn't afford half of it.

My Grandma is the best to me. She lets me have an ice cream and play on the computer. My Grandma is lovely and kind hearted. She gives me lollies and juice.

She is as funny as a comedian.
